White Barns in Virginia was inspired by our travels through Virginia where peaceful pastoral scenes dot the beautiful countryside. On the day I found the scene it was very overcast and since I much prefer painting subjects that are touched by the sun I took artistic license to turn the scene into a lovely sunny one. I hope you’ll enjoy my version of a sunlit farm just as much as I enjoyed painting it.
